I was on a trip with two of my sisters and a niece and I fell asleep early, exhausted from a strenuous day of hiking. In the middle of the night, I woke up, remembering the dream I just had.

I was in the family home where I grew up. There was a child with me. There was something or someone dangerous in the house and I was keeping the child with me to protect him. I went into my father’s room. I was also supposed to protect my father. He was sleeping. I went and stood beside him. I looked across the bed and a demon was glaring at me. The demon took the form of someone I know, but the “person” had red, smoldering eyes, so I knew it was really a demon. I yelled at it,“You’re a demon!” and that’s when I woke up.

The dream was still swirling in my head. I felt kind of “panicky” and found I was having trouble breathing. I got up and turned on a light and I was able to breathe easier. I turned off the light and the panic and breathing difficulty returned. I opened a window for some fresh air and that helped me to breathe again. I laid down and tried to sleep. I still felt troubled and anxious. Then I looked up and I saw Dattatreya Siva Baba standing next to me. He was bright white light, but I could still see His form - and the familiar outline of His face. He literally lit up the room. I found myself “squinting” as I looked at Him. As I gazed at Him, I felt calm and at peace. Everything was okay - no panic – no problems - just Datta and White Light.
