There is no way to fully explain the many wonderful, profound & miraculous happenings in ones life once you have met and followed Dattatreya Siva Baba’s teachings.

I stumbled to write this account because I have not experienced that monumental miracle in one instant. I reflected and thought how can this be expressed to others, that in every single day I have experienced at least one small daily miracle. All of these (to me) have amounted to far more than one spectacular one. The impact that this has had on my life and those connected to me, particularly my children, is truly a miracle of the Divine.

It’s hard to remember the person I was and I’m glad for that. Though my heart has always been beautiful it was so clouded over with the causalities of life as a child of a violent, abusive, alcoholic father and a mother just trying to survive & cope. All this contributed to the mother, wife and person I had become. Trust me to say that it was not impressive.

I was fully immersed in a material, “high” life of little depth and its payoff was mounting up to the destruction of the lives of a family with two beautiful toddlers whose souls were being crushed. That’s when the Divine intervened and brought me to Dattatreya Siva Baba. This was a miracle in itself for at this point in my life I had lost faith in God and, in my mind, had felt He did not exist. Forget even thinking of following the teachings of some spiritual person called a Guru. Fortunately my heart, soul & my children knew differently.

It began with mantras, meditation, Datta’s tools of teaching (video’s, cd’s, vibhuti) and the dedicated help of one of His students. Initially I thought it was all very odd (understatement) but no matter what criticism I felt towards these practices I could not deny the clarity, peace, inner beauty, insight and strength I gained daily from these teachings. I would have been lying if I did. The greatest proof was the incredible behavioral change in my children, especially my 3yr old son who had become a chronic violent tantrum thrower. He had absorbed the anger, fear and hopelessness of his parents and was playing out what we were so conveniently hiding from ourselves. Once I began to bring Datta into our lives, my children began to return to the beautiful angels they where when they arrived in this world.

My husband and I divorced, which was truly a blessing for all concerned. What had the makings of a brutal, long drawn out battle, carrying on for years was resolved in 6 months and now peace, co-operation, compassion and care prevails amongst us all.

In the past 6 years I have seen so many debilitating behaviors & fears within myself that have impeded & plagued every aspect of my Life, a Life that I now know has an unfathomable amount to offer to this world. The majority of people never get to see these things about themselves. This is the gift of the Guru to remove the veil - the smoke screen of the ego, from His devotees so that they are able to see the Truth of themselves. Yes in the process, we must see our blemishes, but only to be given the most miraculous gift of realizing the profound beauty of our souls.

I can only say that it would be a novel to tell you, all of the many miracles Datta has thus laid upon this being and those in her care. He has shared so many incredible tools and techniques that have been held secret because of their incredible ability to alter peoples lives. I am deeply grateful, happy and joyful to say that I actually grasp true happiness, joy and especially love of myself, my children and all others.

This is a miracle - happiness, love and joy. Yes there are always and still the ebbs and flows of life’s challenges & celebrations but there are still so many things to discover about myself, the other inhabitants of this world and most importantly, God! Yes, remembering that we are God! I am deliriously happy and grateful because I know Dattatreya Siva Baba will show us this! Thank you Datta…thank you for making this a miraculous journey.
