Today I was looking for a parking space, and spotted one on “the other side of the street.” I quickly made a U-turn, and pulled in. As I was making this illegal turn I saw a police car approaching. The police car pulled up next to me with its lights on, and the officer knocked on my window. I knew from following “planet watch” a service offered on astroved_that the Hora/hour of Saturn was ruling. This is a planet I have some challenges with. Right away I called on Ganesha, Dattatreya Siva Baba, and Hanuman who is the Overlord of Saturn, and asked for help. I rolled down the window to an Office with attitude, as you can imagine with me doing this right in front of them. He says, “well you just earned yourself two points on your license, let me see your license and registration card.”

I begged, “Please Sir No, I know I did wrong I was just so excited to find parking, please can’t you just give me a warning or something?” “No,” he replied, “you’ll just do it again.” I answered, “no, Sir, I give you my word; I am Spiritual and I tell you I won’t.” “Your what, spiritual?” he replied. Yes, I repeated, adding “I give my right hand to God’ as I raised my right hand and in my mind asked Datta for a Miracle. “You haven’t even giving me your Identification,” he countered as I sorted through my most important cards. Inspired, I let him see a picture of Datta’s Holy Feet as he was gazing into the car. Then I gave him my license ID. He didn’t even look at my license; he just handed it back and replied, “Don’t let it happen again.” HEwalked back to his vehicle, and said something to the other officer waiting for him: perhaps why he was (letting me off the hook.) I put my hands in prayer and nodded to them, saying in my mind “Thank you, May God Bless You.” They drove away and I was overcome with gratitude to Datta.

I realized in that brief moment, how many times I drive without paying attention or obeying “laws” and how many times I have promised something, even to God and then, time and again, I would break that promise and do what I wanted to do. Today, the true miracle is going deeper in keeping my word and promises unto God
