Datta has talked about the miraculous power of homas (fire ceremonies) as a fast way to manifest. He has taught there is a divine contract with the deities with this ritual and that Krishna mentions it to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.

Datta has taught some of His students to do simple homas, and at a break in one seminar in New York, I asked Him for permission to do them at home with small groups of people and He gave His blessing for that.

At one point, I did a series of homas for 30 days at home, and one of my prayers was to be permanently out of computer consulting, to be doing something I loved. At the time I had no idea “how” this could possibly happen. All I could do was ask in the homa as Datta had taught.

To my absolute utter amazement, within a few months of that homa series, my life magically changed such that I am now in India doing mind-sound Technology teaching in various service situations. I am beyond happy with what I am doing. This complete transformation of my life is genuinely miraculous.

I am very grateful to Datta for introducing the homa ritual to us, and I encourage people who may be curious to check out His astrology website, Astroved, which offers homas as one of their services or to attend a homa in their area led by one of Datta’s students if that is available.

At the moment, I am living in a beautiful building where each morning, one or more priests comes and performs homas for Astroved or people in some special programs offered by Datta at www.sivababa.org (Daily karma Removal Program and Path of Miracles Program; in both programs people are included in some homas).

For these homas, the priests use very special ingredients based on what kind of homa it is as well as mantras that are specific for that homa. On mornings when I do not have early teaching appointments, I am allowed to sit in and help “assist” with putting sticks or other items in the fire and join in on some of the chanting. It is a joy to be praying for others to have miracles come into their lives, too.
