Datta’s Birthday pilgrimage trip to India culminated on Saturday, February 9th, His birthstar day and the day of his Birthday Celebration. During the entire trip, and for the prior 5 weeks, Chennai and Tamil Nadu had been suffering from a lack of adequate rain. The rainy season in South India ends in December and from January and February onwards, the dry and heat traditionally return in full force.

The owner of the resort had organized a 7 AM pooja (flower offering) for Datta. The owner had worked his was up from being a waiter at this beautiful heritage resort to manager to owner using Datta’s “Ah” Meditation and taking Blessings from Datta. After the ceremony completed, we were just heading for breakfast when quite rapidly and “out of the blue” the sunny, blue skies darkened with clouds and an extraordinary down pour of rain began.

Datta has always spoken about how rain is Grace from God. On Datta’s Birthday, the Gods in Heaven gave their blessings to us through this divine shower. Throughout the entire day, periodic downpours would come for 30 minutes to an hour, followed by blue, sunny skies.

No rain has come since that day.
