Divine Prescence in St.Patrick’s Cathedral, by Daria, USA
Miracles from Heavenly Beings, Mystical & Spiritual Experiences, Personal GrowthBeing asked by Baba in his e-mail to assist in calling in the Divine Presence in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, I thought “now that’s a mission”. I went on Sunday, January 22, 2006. The night before I had slept with two lemons to get rid of any karma I might even create in my sleep. I said my mantras and prayers on the way and got to St. Patrick’s at 3:30 PM. As I walked in, St. Patrick’s was jammed with people, most of whom were waving the flag of the Dominican Republic and singing their national anthem.
I stood in the back amazed by the national display in church, when the Star Spangled Banner began. The priest said a few closing words in Spanish and everyone got up, applauded and started to leave. I was brought up Catholic; this was not a typical mass. We never heard an organ play a national anything. Anthems were strictly relegated to sports events and the Olympics. There was never any clapping in church either. I thought about the reason I was called to come at this time, with the songs of a small poor country and a rich super power being played, one following the other, in a house of worship, while lighting a candle, calling on Siva Baba and the Divine Presence to appear and ground at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to bring Heaven on Earth. I couldn’t make this up.
I lighted five candles in all. With the first candle at the front entrance, I called in Siva Baba and the Divine Presence. I sat down to pray and meditate. I had trouble staying in my body the energy was so strong. The second candle, at the shrine of St. Jude, the third in front of St. Michael the Archangel, the forth was lighted at St. Joseph, and the fifth, at St. Anthony. In between making my way completely around the Cathedral, I met my friend Daniel who had brought his special Rosary Beads. He is an opera singer and sang for the Pope, who then blessed these beads.
We sat in behind the main alter in The Lady Chapel, and began to say the 15 decades of the full rosary each having a specific mystery related to salvation. The first five prayer sequences are said for the joyous mysteries, next five the sorrowful mysteries, and the last five the glorious mysteries in the life of Jesus and Mary. Kneeling we recited out loud The Lords Prayer and The Hail Mary. Daniel started and I finished the prayers in proper sequence as a special concert organist played Bach’s, Prelude and Fugue in C Major and Rheinberger’s Organ sonata No. 4 “Tonus peregrinus”. It was beautiful.
In coming home I am awed and humbled by the divine experience. I have been reflecting on my personal and intuitive reasons for what transpired in St. Patrick’s Cathedral at Baba’s request. The Our Father’s and the Hail Mary’s felt right to do. Praying for the Divine Father and Mother to help us “…Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”… I remember Baba talking about the Our Father being a perfect prayer.
St. Jude was a blood cousin of Jesus and became known as the Saint of Lost causes. Many miracles are attributed to him in answering prayers of seemingly hopeless situations. Being reminded nothing is hopeless.
St. Joseph, who is holy because his Faith in God is truly heroic, was the husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus. I lighted the candle in memory of my mother’s father Joseph, who’s faith was so strong, he went to church everyday, and my father’s mother Josephine, named after St. Joseph in fulfillment of an answered prayer. St. Joseph has also assisted in the miracle recovery of an uncle who was not expected to live, five years ago.
Archangel Michael Guardian is considered the Overlord of the Angelic Host, the Elemental Kingdom and Humanity. Referred to four times in the scriptures, Lord Michael is one of the principal angels; his name was the war cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers. I have called for his assistance many times in my work in healing and the removal of dark forces.
St. Anthony a favorite of my grandmother, a miracle worker and brilliant preacher, he wrote “Actions speak louder than words, let your words teach and your actions speak”.
The belief in miracles, that nothing is hopeless, faith, courage, action, and the attainment of Heaven on Earth, are stories of the Gods, Saints, and ordinary man and women. Their love, work and support continue to give so many, the opportunities to receive so much. Hindu and Catholic, Dominican and American, rich and poor, living and in Spirit, in paying my respects, the Divine Presence has brought my consciousness to a deeper level of connection with all, in one afternoon. Hopefully fulfilling what Baba has asked.
In a sermon by St. Bernadine of Siena on St. Joseph, I cried when I read, “…There is a general rule concerning all special graces granted to any human being. Whenever the divine favor chooses someone to receive a special grace, or to accept a lofty vocation, God adorns the person chosen with all the gifts of the Spirit needed to fulfill the task at hand.”
I feel I have received a special grace in having been asked to go to the Cathedral. The Divine Presence is here and is supporting us all. In my human frailty I have many doubts, and make mistakes often. I do not doubt however, the realization of Heaven on Earth and that we are being given the gifts of Spirit needed to fulfill the task at hand.
It is some mission, alright, and I thank the Divine Presence, Dattatreya Siva Baba and all, conspiring for the creation of this new reality.
In Love and Light, and service, Daria. Om Dattatreya Siva Baba
