Myself and several people gathered to do the ancestor ritual on the most auspicious day for it, the New Moon. We decided to do this on the hour to access each hora (time) of the nine planets. Dattatreya Siva Baba has taught us to make offerings to our ancestors to help their souls progress in the afterlife and to obtain their blessings for our own success.

After we performed the offering called Tarpanan to our ancestors, each person felt transformed. Some expressed words of gratitude and peacefulness and another felt it was “very dignified”.

We closed with playing Datta’s Cd “Dancing with Siva”. One man said “I have to tell you, I could really feel every word of Baba’s today, when he would say think, feel or see the blue light, I could and that never happened before. It is amazing I feel like I was teleported and now I am transformed. Before I go to bed I am going to thank Datta’s picture and say another prayer for my family and Loved Ones.”

This man is so very ill, he can hardly walk without his cane and he has cancer, experiencing lot of physical pain. However through the Grace of God, and God as my witness, afterwards he arose and his body looked stronger and he even said “look at my arms. I have muscles again and my legs feel stronger to”.

This New Moon Ritual experience was one of the greatest!!
