Recently, a friend of mine (who has a 2 year old son), came into my life. I fell in love with them both instantly. I have spent a great deal of time with the 2 year old boy, taking care of him so that the mother can work.

They were in really serious need of a car but could not afford one. They are in a situation that is not good — living with a mentally ill father — who owns the only car for the entire family. The mother is trying to become independent so she can move out of the situation.

I kept praying to Datta about this and telling her that I just knew that there was a car out there for them - for free! She would kind of smile when I would tell her this. And then it hit me - why not put a message on our NYC_Hope yahoogroups out to Datta devotees, asking them to pray for her as well. The power of prayer multiplied right? So I did. Within 2 days a response came - someone wrote to tell me that they had a car that they were not using that they would love to offer to this mother and child. What a joy to read this email! And and even greater joy to tell my friend that her free car had arrived!

We went and picked up the car and she now has freedom to take her son and go where ever they need to go, whenever they need to go. It is a step in the right direction. I am truly grateful for this miracle. Thank you Datta and thank you for all the devotees who put in prayers to Datta for this to happen!
