One day last year, I was Sport walking with my iPod and listening to a Datta Mantra. I was going at a good clip and didn’t want to slow my stride at an approaching an intersection. I didn’t realize my hat was blocking my view. A car was speeding to beat the light I thought I was making. It was nothing less than miraculous that he didn’t hit me full on. I got to the meeting I was going to and broke down explaining what had just happened.

I have a chronic illness that leaves me in terrible pain most of the time. That kind of pain, the meds they give for it, and the knowledge that it’s not going to get any better all have depression at their center. I’ve been working with Datta’s mantra’s more and more. The miracle here is ending suffering. My pain doesn’t ruin my life anymore. That’s nothing but miraculous.

My third miracle still leaves me amazed. Last year, in a meditation led by a devotee named Raki, we all focused on something we wanted to manifest. In two days I had a brand new Cadillac. My husband decided my Mercedes was dying  and that I needed a new car. I had asked the universe for beautiful bounty.  Datta’s grace in my life is miraculous.
