One day I felt this energy while standing on the subway platform. It was strong and I felt like deities were all around me. I saw a man who got very close to me, but it was crowded and quickly he stepped back, turn, and walk away. The train came and I boarded. I look in my bag for something and discovered that one of my purses was gone. I then realized I had been pick-pocketed.

The man on the platform had taken my small purse from inside my bigger purse, maybe thinking that had my cash; however it did have my treasures, as it containing my sacred objects: Vibhuti, Linga, Vel and so on. I first thought the mantras Saravanabavaya Om  Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba! and asked Datta to help me as I am upset;  how could this have happened? and I prayed to not to cast a stone [as Jesus teaches].

I know that the Guru protects us, and strange as it may sound I felt very protected. I chanted the prayer of God’s Grace, the Grace of Arul. May he be touched in holding such Sacred objects, that I had been praying and doing my daily Pooja’s with for over a year. I prayed placing him at the feet of Our Guru Dattatreya Siva Baba requesting Grace and Mercy, may he change his life. Everything that was stolen could be replaced, but my heart longed for my Vel.

I went to visit my sister and to my surprise and delighted to see me, she said a package in my name had arrived from India. (What? I thought: that is not my mailing address.) I opened the package and there was an Energized Vel from Datta. That day I learned these lessons: to expect a Miracle, to stay alert, and I know when I am feeling the Spirits I must pay attention. The TRUE miracle is Dattatreya Siva Baba , who provides me with my heart-felt desires before I even know them.
